  3. Boo! at Zoo Knoxville

    until
Shine or dirty up that armor! Just got the word from Zoo Knoxville, we are on for Boo! at the Zoo this year. They intend to rope off areas for costumed guests but since we are usually fully covered I am going to see if it required for everyone to remain behind it. My first goal is always our safety but if anyone feels comfortable with being more mobile I will see what we can do. This will be our first official troop since the Ice Bears in February, will be good to see a lot of you all again! The event will be available every Thursday through Sunday until the 25th. Please post dates you wish to attend so that can be communicated with the staff organizer at the zoo.

  13. New in Knoxville

Once events are safer to do on a regular basis, I'm positive that you will find local Knoxville area troopers to touch base with... At most events, you could come out and meet them and act as a handler/helper until your shoretrooper is ready, and get to know some troopers in the process. You might even consider Chattanooga area events as welll. I know a lot of troopers may not check the forum as much right now, but once they do, I'm certain they will be able to offer some insight and advice as needed. But as as Braden said, feel free to ask questions here.
  14. You can always do a Phasma later if you want to... and have both. Sometimes, having the option for either could be good. Rogue One had some great Imperial add-ons to the costume list.

Greetings! The 501st does not require blasters for membership, since replica weaponry may not be accessible or even legal in some countries. However, oftentimes higher levels of costume approval do require a blaster. Hope this helps! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Hello!! New person here

I'm just getting started myself in Knoxville. I went with a build from 850 Armorworks. I had a lot of questions to make sure it fit a female figure well. Not all the builds are forgiving of a women's chest and hips. I'm hoping to finish up and submit photos by October. Hope you find something that works for you!
  19. New in Knoxville

Hi all, Excited to be working on Shoretrooper Grunt build with 850 Armorworks. Currently obtaining soft foods while waiting for kit to arrive, but have some questions. If anyone in the Knoxville area is willing to help this newbie out please let me know. I've been reading the message boards about the E22, but are weapons required for approval? I am especially intimidated by all the strapping and hope to find another Shoretrooper who can help me once it's time to put it on the first time. I jumped into this without seeing how all these pieces come together. Thanks!
  20. Thank you both. I haven't been able to connect with anyone in Knoxville yet. I took a trip to 850 Armorworks and they helped answer a lot of my questions. I decided on a Shoretrooper Grunt build. I'm excited for the kit to arrive!
