  1. Hello from Knoxville (again)

That is 100% true, while the bracket system is screen accurate and could get you Centurion Status on your build, it is all but guaranteed to create fault lines that will cause the armor to crack. Personally I would not do it on a suit you plan to troop in, it will be more likely to break and will severely limit your mobility due to constant fear of it breaking. I highly suggest using line in snaps (specifically from Tandy Leather, not walmart or Joannes) and of course velcro where needed.

  3. Hello From Kingsport

Welcome aboard. Vader can be quite a pricey and challenging build and wear but is usually the star of the show SLD boards are always the best place to get info but if you need any other assistance please feel free to reach out. I am the Squad Leader for your area and a former GML for the Garrison so feel free to shoot me a PM.
  4. Hello

Welcome back! Let me know if you need any assistance with the transfer both within the Legion and outside of it. Moving is usually a pain
  5. Newly Transferred

Welcome aboard, what part of TN do you two reside in?
  6. Hello from Knoxville (again)

Welcome back. I am the squad leader for Knox Eisley Squad covering East TN (other than Chattanooga area) and currently reside in Seymour. We have quite a few active troopers in and around the Knoxville area and are expanding. I've got a TX and a few other TK variations finished and working on and am also a former GML for the Garrison. If you need any assistance with your build or need any general legion info please reach out. We'll probably have a few larger build days coming up after people are able to settle back in after Dragon*Con, but individuals are working on stuff all the time.
  7. Star Wars Day @ Zoo Knoxville

Star Wars Day at Zoo Knoxville 07/20/2019 10am - 2pm We will be in the Kids Cove tent. They are setting up fans and a curtained off back area for breaks. They also made special trading cards for the event. We'll organize some kind of lunch afterwards as well. Please arrive at a time that you can be ready by 10am.
  8. Hello from Tri-cities!

yeah we'll be there too, not as big of a showing but we'll be there
  9. Hello from Trade

welcome, staff officer is a great place to start, it allows some other options in the future, like a warrant officer with the helmet, it can be comfortable, and relatively inexpensive. Similar outfit to look at is the Imperial crewman, even cheaper to make, can get you into multiple detachments and can be expanded to a full TIE pilot or Imperial Gunner later down the road. if you are able I highly suggest coming out to Fanboy Expo in July, a lot of the Garrison will be there, give you a chance to meet a lot of us in person and talk shop

Welcome. This is a newly approve-able costume so resources on it are probably pretty slim but these 2 are definitely where to start: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TR_Rotsblue & https://www.forcepike.net/

It went so well (apart from the threat of rain keeping a lot of people at home) that they want us back. May 24th, game starts at 7pm, gates open at 5:30 so if possible be ready and suited up by then. We plan to do some type of coordinated display with the fireworks after the game, but you are not required to as per our agreement with LFL. This is another LFL approved event. Stadium 3540 Line Dr, Kodak, TN 37764 SEVIERVILLE - The Tennessee Smokies have announced that the team will host another Star Wars Night at Smokies Stadium on Friday, May 24th. The evening will be Star Wars Night: Episode II presented by Advance Auto Parts. First pitch will be at 7:00 pm with gates opening at 5:30 pm. The night will feature Star Wars characters roaming the concourse, Star Wars themed jersey auction and raffles with a portion of the proceeds benefiting United Way of Washington County, post-game fireworks, Star Wars themed graphics, music, games, and more. The night will also feature items that will be raffled off throughout the game including Star Wars collectibles, autographed memorabilia, figurines, and more. The raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the game for only $5. Star Wars Night: Episode II will allow fans to come enjoy a Star Wars themed evening at Smokies Stadium for the second time during the 2019 season.
  15. Fanboy Expo

I know official request forms probably have not been received yet but organization and planning on our end needs to get going. Fanboy Expo 701 Henley Street Knoxville, Tennessee 37902 EVENT TIMES: Friday, July 12th – 12pm-7pm Saturday, July 13th – 10am-6pm Sunday, July 14th – 11am – 5pm Star Wars guests at Fanboy Frank Welker - the voice of your childhood Denis Lawson - freakin Wedge! Alan Harris - Bossk, stormtroopers in all three films as well as Anthony Daniels stand in for C3Po, a Bespin Security Guard, and the model for Han Solo in Carbonite. Mark Dodson - Salacious B Crumb Ian Whyte - various aliens in The Force Awakens, Star Wars Rogue One Colin Cantwell - Colin went to work designing some of your favorite Star Wars ships like the X-wing fighter, Death Star, Millennium Falcon, TIE Fighter, Landspeeder, Stardestroyer and more Steve Blum - Zeb Orrelios in Star Wars Rebels Cast of Star Wars Resistance will be joining us including: Christopher Sean (Kazuda), Suzie Mcgrath (Tam) Scott Lawrence (Jarek) They will be in attendance in the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital Star Wars area. Proceeds from the sale of their autographs and photo ops will go directly to the Children’s Hospital. This is the area all of us will be in this year, 400 sq.ft. of Star Wars goodness, fantastic opportunity to have extra displays, games, and activities. Passes will be provided to approved Legion members only and trooping in a Legion approved costume or working the booth for at least 3 hours will be required to receive a pass. Not trying to be a jerk but, we had too many passes given out to people who either did not troop or were not even members. This was noticed by the organizers of the event. We cannot abuse the privilege we are given, or we will stop getting passes altogether for events like this. I do not want to have to do a signup sheet for this event if not necessary (they are rarely followed anyway), so please just do your part and don't leave some of your fellow Legion brothers and sisters doing all the work. If you do not plan to suit up or work the booth, then please just buy a ticket. Please post below if you plan to attend, and whether you will be suiting up, or working the table, and what days. Thank you for your understanding. Saturday night we will also organize a group dinner at a nearby restaurant. Also if able please stick around after the con closes on Sunday to help Don load the tank, it's a real pain to do it with just 3 people Directions 701 Henley Street Knoxville, Tennessee 37902 Eastbound on I-40: Take Exit 388 onto 441 South (Henley Street).
