You can also check out Crowprops, he makes high quality boots. I got my TIE boots and Kylo boots from him and they are awesome. He'll ask for your specific measurements, so they are custom to you.

Another rook for the Flight Deck! I'm just down the road outside Nashville. My first 501st approval was a New Hope TIE pilot. Happy to help in any way! Welcome and looking forward to watching your progress.
  3. Greetings from the Memphis Area!

Welcome! I'm here in Nashville, but when we are not in a pandemic I often visit Memphis for work and have trooped out there before. Great group of folks, and you'll find plenty of folks to help you virtually.
  4. Hello, from a new transfer

Welcome! Michigan is part of my travel territory(when travel was permitted anyway...) and I would usually stay over in the Troy area but always made my way over to the bars/restaurants in Royal Oak. Welcome to the MSG, we're glad to have ya!

Hey, it costs exactly zero dollars to try and is a very easy process. Any one of us are happy to help you with it. The worst that can happen is you get a response with some pointers on how to get "up to snuff". I am not a CRL expert(I know the TIE requirements quite well, and that's about it) but you looked great on Saturday when I saw you. Its an awesome group of people, and becoming a member was one of the best things I have done. Give it a shot!

Hey man! Saw you at ICCC on Saturday(I was in TIE outfit). I'm not in a leadership role, so they can speak more clearly to it, but I believe the answer you are looking for is, yes, you would have to be a member to attend events with the group.

Awesome!! Nice work! Be sure to check out the events threads and get signed up. Some good ones coming up like ICCC and Boo at the Zoo. John, I believe he is a Stormy like yourself...We can always use more TKs!

  23. Just Approved!

Hello, my name is Braden Kane. I live in Old Hickory, TN. I was just approved for my first costume(TIE Pilot, ANH) over the weekend and am super excited to be a part of the group. I have been a lifelong Star Wars fan and have always been somewhat interested in joining the 501st, or a similar group. What really kicked the interest level up was attending two events and seeing trooping in action. The first was a "Way Late Play Date" at the Adventure Science Center here in Nashville. The theme was 'Star Wars vs Star Trek". The second event was the Nashville Symphony presenting "Star Wars: A New Hope". And, frankly, I turned 45 this year and decided to reward myself with doing this. So, yeah, pumped to be included and looking forward to serving.
