  1. Greetings from Knoxville

    Welcome aboard Erik!
  2. Welcome to the area Kevin. I'm right outside Knoxville in Roane county but spend a lot of time in Knoxville. Good to have another person in the area. I've got limited TK experience as I've got a clone and currently finishing up a TIE pilot. There are others in the area with some TK experience though. And there has been the occasional prop party in the area from time to time. Warmer weather is usually a big plus for that.
  3. Hello Forum Friends

Welcome to the MSG Cameron. These guys have you on the right track. You should try to make it up to Lexington in March for the comic con. There will be lots of us there and would be a good chance to get to know everyone.
  4. New guy from Knoxville, TN

Welcome to the boards Brian! The Knoxville area seems to neon the rise again which is a good thing. I'm sure we can arrange a get together and get you squared away when you are ready.
  5. Tapatalk for Android free on Amazon Appstore

They also have this for the iPhone. I honestly don't know what I did before this app. Makes posting pics to forums way easy.
  6. Hello from Lexington Kentucky!

Welcome to the boards John. It's great to see this influx of Kentucky based troopers recently! Seems to be a growing area since Lexington comic con.
  7. Introduction for Joseph Fyffe

Great to hear the surgery went ok Joe. Glad you found your way back to the boards and are hopping on the costume train. There are a couple of TIE pilots in Kentucky that I'm sure can lend a hand in you get stuck. I know Jedimika has one and Sgt. Dark is working on one. You should plan to come to Wonderfest in May in Louisville. Lots of us are going to be there.
  8. ???????Hi from Louisville.

Welcome back to the states Josh. Glad to have you aboard! As Tyler stated, it's too bad you didn't find the boards before the big Lexington event. If you haven't heard of Wonderfest, then look that up and plan on attending. It's right in your backyard and is the next large garrison troop in Kentucky. Hope to see you there.
  9. Hello from Chattanooga!

Welcome to the boards Jeff. We have several Stormtroopers and Biker Scouts in the garrison so don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have.
  10. Greetings from Knoxville

Hey Erik, I'm in Roane Co. Which is just down the road from Knox. We have a few events in the Knoxville area coming up in May that you are more then welcome to come hang out with us at. You definitely want to start reading around on white armor at all the different makes of TK armor. Like others have said, some fit different heights/weights better than others.
  11. Hi guys I'm Zac

    Message sent!
  12. Greetings from new member!

Welcome aboard. The Ice Bears will be a good first troop. Looking to be a lot of fun.
  13. As Robbie said, there are very few armor problems that can't be fixed. Between all if us we have pretty much seen it all. Post some pics up and one way or another we will figure out your best course of action.
  14. Welcome to the boards Jason. Laserbrain pretty much hit the nail on the head. Whitearmor.net is where you can find all the answers you seek. There is no real answer as to which is the best armor. It's more what's the best armor for your needs.
  15. TK-80808 Reporting for duty

Congrats and welcome aboard. Looking forward to seeing you in armor at a troop sometime.
  16. It will be great having you two on board. It was nice getting to meet you and Julie at the CVI dinner as Tambo said. Make sure when you leave pacific outpost, to grab one of those Hawaii 501st shirts in an XL for me! Still love that shirt from seeing it at CVI.
  17. It's good to be here!

You've been welcome around these parts for a while now but nice to have it all official like in the books. Welcome aboard the crazy train!
  18. jeff bryant paducah ky

Welcome Jeff. Sounds like you have already received some great advice. As they have said. If you are willing to put in the time and elbow grease, you can have a set way cheaper than $1500.
  19. Jenn Andersson, Fort Campbell

Welcome to the boards finally. Always fun trooping with you and the family.
  20. TX-80085 reporting

Great meeting you today. Thanks for bringing the tent. It helped keep my feet dry! Nice looking TX you have there as well.
  21. CT-31337 Officially Reporting for Duty

Welcome aboard! Told you this weekend that I didn't think it would be much longer. Glad they proved me right!
  22. Greetings from Franklin, TN

Welcome to the boards Marcus. The others that have chimed in seem to have you on the right path so i've got nothing to add to that. It's a good time of the year to attend troops as we have quite a few coming up. Several troops at the Nashville Zoo and there is always Pumpkinfest in Franklin that springs to mind.
  23. Greetings from Clarksville

A Fett is quite the undertaking for a first build. I wish you luck and look forward to the progress shots. If you aren't already aware of it, you might want to check out the Dented Helmet website. That is where all the Fett makers hang out on the Internet and the wealth of knowledge there on the subject is impressive to say the least.
  24. Greetings from Augusta and the GA Garrison

The one in the picture above is not Jen. The one above is from the So Cal Garrison, but it not yet approved. Bo-Katan has a grey suit on under her armor and the one above has black. That's the only thing holding her up.
  25. Greetings from Augusta and the GA Garrison

Welcome to the boards! Feel free to come to any troop we have. Bounty Hunters are always welcome in our neck of the woods. My wife has looked into doing a Bo-Katan so I might be messaging you about that in the future.
