  3. Derby Parade // Louisville, KY

From the Bluegrass Garrison’s event coordinator: This is still under development as COVID is still around...but im hopefull... imperials get to have hope too..We have always been well supported by the parade organizers.... id love to see 100 troopers at this.... this will be crossed to RL, MMCC, OG, MSG, etc NO CAP ON PARTICIPANTS, BUT BGG WILL HAVE PREFERANCE ON UNIQUE COSTUMES (boba, vader, krenic) First intrest post HERE is who wears it. per charter, if you cant make it, you get the hammer on your toes. so if youre a unique costume, you know who else has it, so get a backup.

This was brought to us just a few hours ago. “The Marketing department of Centennial Children's asked us to participate in their annual NICU reunion. They want as many characters as possible. They will have safety protocols, but no real contact. All characters are welcome and they will have masks available for those without helmets. It is in the parking lot at Centennial Children's Hospital at 2220 Patterson St, Nashville, TN 37203. They would like people there at 1:30 to get their temps taken and other safety protocol. There will be a changing area and storage for items.”

We ask that any blasters/space weapons be peace bonded. Comments: The concert is Symphony in Space, on Saturday April 18th from 11AM to 12PM. The activity time is from 9:30AM to 11AM. We would LOVE to have 2 to 4 members of the 501st Legion there, if possible! The primary difference between these family concerts and the movie concerts is that the Family Concert Series will definitely have younger audiences, and this series is Inclusive and Sensory Friendly, which means there are resources and adjustments made for children on the autism spectrum and other disabilities with sensory sensitivities. For the 501st, there is no major difference in how you all interact with audiences. I have an easy sensory friendly packet with info and tips that I would love for attending characters to look over beforehand.

Location: (Name and address) Bridgestone Arena 501 Broadway Nashville TN 37203 Parking location and details: (Parking should be free) Depending on how many vehicles- parking will be provided. Event date: February 27 2020 Event start time & approx. end time: 6:30PM-10PM Call time: 4:30PM Changing room details: We will provide a changing room either in a meeting room or down on event level. Other information from Lucasfilm: Teams cannot direct fan group members to do any activities or be anywhere specific at any specific time - they may provide the groups with a list of activities to self-organize and participate in, but it is at fan group members’ own discretion. We strongly prefer that characters not throw out first pitches, participate in puck drops, sing the National Anthem or things of that nature – if they want, fan group members may escort a child or fan to the mound, etc., but must not be directed to do so. Characters should not hold, wear, sit in or stand on any branded item or logo, especially with a team emblem. The fan groups are welcome to be photographed with others wearing the team logo/brands or in front of signage featuring the team logo/brand, however.

We are planning to have several rooms dedicated to specific events, like movie/anime viewings, different tabletop gaming/card games, a cosplay contest, crafts for kids, and more. Our library has never done an event like this so we are trying to start planning early. We are a public library that serves many underprivileged people in our community, who might not otherwise have access to the more expensive, fuller conventions due to ticket and travel costs and etc., so this event is to cater to our patrons who love video games, comics, anime, and other pop culture and media. This is all the information that I have for you right now; as we plan more, more things will fall into place! This is a free, multi-fandom community event that is open to all ages and fans of all pop culture media. Referred by: Have heard about the 501st from other convention events, social media, and etc.

*** AMC has not yet given the official approval for any costumed characters to be at the location but the theater manager is confident that this will not be an issue. *** Helmets are ok. Blasters and lightsabers are TBD. In the past, we were allowed to watch the movie for free that included snacks and drinks. It is TBD what the procedure will be like this year. Stay tuned for updates. If you are trooping this, you MUST sign up both here and on the Google Drive sheet linked below. The theater will NOT allow anyone not on this list to troop or see the movie. This is to keep people from sneaking in friends who didn't troop. This is cross-posted with the Corellian Base of the Rebel Legion and we will use the same signup sheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1-WWkUaYJz6ZPVFdUIwA57sDFu5vyn9qRuFwP2X4M37c
