  1. Hello there

KT Hiestand here. I've been wanting/intending to join for literally years now. A couple years ago I was really looking into costumes, and then the pandemic happened. Well, I'm finally doing it. I have no creative ability in terms of making costumes, so will need loads of help in that area. But I'm really looking forward to connecting with others who share my passion for Star Wars.
  2. Hi! I'm Madison Ray, I currently live in Nashville and would love to start trooping with you all! I had such a lovely time at the Ascend John Williams event, and I cannot wait to join more in the future. I'm also concurrently joining the Rebel Legion, if they'll have me. (Scum and villainy like to play both sides of the war, of course.) I learned about the 501st just through existing in all things Star Wars, and finally plucked up the courage to join! I've always wanted to cosplay, but never found something that held my interest long enough to warrant the amount of work put into it. I finally decided that it was about time I see what this was all about, so I looked at the roster information for MSG, and I found my good friend Connor Chmielewski's name on the list, so I messaged him and that directed me here to all you lovely people. Questions? Comments? Concerns? Let me know!
  3. Hello!

Well hey there MSG!! My name is Andrea and I'm from Monticello, KY. I'm new here (obviously) and am super pumped to be a part of this group. I first heard about the 501st and MSG through a co-worker, Brian Bentley (dragonhammer). He and his wife dragged me to Scarefest in Lexington, KY and from then on I knew that I had to be a part of this tribe of people. I told Brian and his wife (Carol Jean) later that I felt like it was a group that I finally fully belonged in. You people rock! I'm currently a handler and will soon be building a Visas Marr costume so I can participate at troops. Any opinions, thoughts, suggestions, and general statements will be happily accepted. I feel blessed to have met some of you already and can't wait to meet more awesome people!!
  4. Hi all! Allow me to first introduce myself and satisfy the requirements of the forum, my name is Owen Suits, I don't belong to the 501st or any other costuming group, but I do have reenacting impressions in WWII and Civil War so I follow a similar path. I'm from LaFayette, GA. I learned about the MSG through my own research but was made aware of the 501st's general presence in the Southeast when my girlfriend met some of the Mosnooga folks at a recent Star Wars event in the Fort Oglethorpe library. I honestly thought the 501st was a small group that perhaps travelled the world under GL's supervision, it seems the Empire's reach is far greater than I'd first assumed... I'm requesting access to the MSG forums so that I might get to know everyone a little better and hopefully further my knowledge on this great organisation. I've been active on the FISD forums for about a week now, and all I can say is WOW. There is a ridiculous amount of information and friendly faces in the 501st! It can be hard some times getting involved in a new hobby but I believe the motto "troopers helping troopers" is being upheld to the fullest extent possible!
