ElizabethD90 3 Report post Posted February 11, 2020 Hello I'm Elizabeth Dunham, I'm not yet affiliated with the 501st and don't know what rebel legion is...just looking for something fun to do... Based in Knoxville, TN. Knew somebody years ago that was in the 501st, but lost contact with her years ago. Interested in sith/Jedi play, but could do trooper play as well, have to look at cost of costumes... About me... Am a Paramedic in real life, lived 13 years in Germany so I sound funny, love star wars and volunteering yo help people. Really could use another hobby to relax lol P.s. I got a dumb question... Looking at 501st legion website, looks like you can only be a with from the movies. What about being an inquisitor or Jedi? I see pictures of people with lightsaber in the gallery that aren't the Sith lords

Inquisitors fall under The Flagship Eclipse: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:DS_Seventh_Sister https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:Grand_Inquisitor Since you're in Knoxville, Saturday is our biggest winter event, the Ice Bears Star Wars night, feel free to come by and meet us and we can talk through what you'd like to make. ElizabethD90 3 Report post Posted February 11, 2020 Thank you for the invite, unfortunately I work this Saturday. Is there any chance somebody in the Knoxville group would be able to meet up and show me the ropes? Maybe help me make sense of my ideas
Ubernostrum 14 Report post Posted February 11, 2020 What part of Knoxville are you in? I'm way out west.

ElizabethD90 3 Report post Posted February 12, 2020 Would this be approved? I can't find a reference for it on the 501st https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Stormsurgeon
Vaderniner 124 Report post Posted February 12, 2020 Would this be approved? I can't find a reference for it on the 501sthttps://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/StormsurgeonIn my humble newbie opinion, it looks like you could probably get away as a sand trooper officer as your main reference. But then again there are some awesome storm troopers out there who could give you better guidance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ab buttons match a stormtrooper, white/grey teeth mean ANH stunt is probably the right base. Don't know if Star Wars Galaxies is a source FISD would consider for making a new CRL, but you could always get approved as a standard TK, then wear the pauldrons at any events that aren't LucasFilm official.
ElizabethD90 3 Report post Posted February 14, 2020 Been looking around and looks like stormtrooper is a bit outside my budget at the moment, so I'm thinking https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:ID_imperial_officer Problem is I don't know how to sew... Is there anybody in the Knoxville area that could help me learn?

Is there anybody in the Knoxville area that could help me learn? Welcome, I am the Squad Leader for Knox Eisley Squad, which covers East TN. For the medic trooper I would do a ANH stunt suit like Matt suggested. If you want to do an officer I would highly suggest going through https://www.wampawear.com/product-category/uniform/ they are going to give you the best suit for the money. There are some cheaper options out there but they aren't very good, and some more expensive options that are more accurate but 2-5 times more expensive. If you have any specific questions about any of these costumes feel free to PM me here or email me at Mau5trooper@gmail.com
fleurderys 138 Report post Posted February 20, 2020 Welcome!!! You have a lot of great advice here already! To give you another idea - another budget friendly option to get your foot in the door is Imperial Bridge Crew: https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:IC_imperial_bridge_crew The jumpsuit you can get from Cosplaysky (triple check their size chart with your measurements). It might be a little slow/dicey getting stuff from them at the moment as they are based in China, but their suit requires just a few easy mods, such as opening up the left arm compad section (I can explain how to do that if you choose to do this) Then, it's the boots, belt, and hat. The belt can be made for around $30, or bought for $50-$60. Boots, you can get used off of eBay or Poshmark. Hat- I got mine for around $45 on Etsy. This is also the base for several other costumes: TIE Reserve, TIE Pilot, and I think a few others others.
Briscob 1 Report post Posted July 30, 2020 I'm just getting started myself in Knoxville. I went with a build from 850 Armorworks. I had a lot of questions to make sure it fit a female figure well. Not all the builds are forgiving of a women's chest and hips. I'm hoping to finish up and submit photos by October. Hope you find something that works for you!
